Double Crust Pastry
Stuff you’ll need:
small bowl
Stand mixer
Measuring cups and spoons
Plastic wrap
Whisk/fork
4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup vegetable shortening
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp white vinegar
2 large eggs
1/4 cup ice water
1. In a small bowl whisk eggs, vinegar and ice water until combined and set aside.
2. In the bowl of your stand mixer add flour, salt and vegetable shortening, mix until pea size shapes form.
3. Add egg mixture and mix until dough forms together, wrap with plastic and chill for 24hrs.
Chantilly cream
Stuff you need:
Stand mixer or electric beater
Measuring cups and spoons
1 cup heavy cream
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1. Add heavy cream, sugar and vanilla to the bowl of stand mixer or larger bowl. Mix on high until soft peeks form!
Strawberry Jam
Stuff you’ll need:
Pot
Spatula and wooden spoon
Measuring cups and spoons
Juicer/zester
2 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries
1/3 granulated sugar
1 Tbsp of lemon zest (about 1 lemon)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1. Add strawberries, sugar, lemon zest and juice to a heavy pot and being to boil on medium heat.
2. Simmer for 10 minutes until strawberries become soft.
3. Pour in glass bowl and cool before serving.
