Maple Sugar Nuts

This sweet and crunchy snack makes an excellent gift.. unless you eat them all yourself! They are soooo good!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Parchment paper

Baking sheet

Heavy pot

Mixing bowls

Measuring spoons and cups


3/4 cup of brown sugar

1/2 cup of white sugar

3 tbsp of maple syrup

1 tbsp of water

1 tsp of cinnamon

3 cups of your favourite nuts (we recommend pecans, walnuts, peanuts and cashews)


Cinnamon sugar:

1 tsp of cinnamon

3 tbsp of white sugar


1. To a heavy pot add brown sugar, white sugar, maple syrup, water and cinnamon. On medium to high heat, bring to a simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved and set aside.

2. In a large bowl combined 3 cups of your favourite nuts.

3. Pour the yummy maple sugar liquid on top and stir until the nuts are completely covered.

4. Line a baking sheet with parchment and transfer you sugary nuts onto the pan spreading them out into an even layer.

5. Sprinkle your warm maple sugar nuts with cinnamon sugar and set them aside to harden for about 1hr before enjoying!
