Kitchen Sink Granola Bars

We love making these tasty and easy no-bake granola bars! Have fun coming up with different flavour combinations, you can put just about anything in them, anything BUT the kitchen sink!

Here’s what you’ll need: Mixing bowls Spatula Measuring cups and spoons Heavy pot Plastic wrap 8x8 pan Parchment paper 1 1/2 cups of quick cooking oats 1/2 cup of your favourite seeds (sesame/sunflower/chia/pepitas) 1/4 cup of mini marshmallows, cut in half (or raisins/dried fruit/shredded coconut) 3 rice cakes, broken into crumbs 1/2 cup of bite size Pretzels ( or pecans/peanuts/walnuts) 1/2 cup of brown rice syrup 1/4 cup of honey 1/4 seed/nut butter (sunflower and cashew are our favourites!) Pinch of cinnamon Pinch of salt 1 tsp of vanilla 1/2 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips, the mini ones are great (or any kind of chocolate/m+m’s/candy) 1. In a large bowl, add the quick cooking oats, seeds, pretzels, and marshmallows.

2. Using your hands, break the rice cakes into crumbs and add them to your bowl.

3. To a pot, add brown rice syrup, honey, seed butter, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla. 4. Set this pot on the stove on medium high heat. 5. Once your mixture comes to a boil, remove the pot from the heat and carefully pour over your dry ingredients. 6. Mix until everything is coated. 5. Stir in the chocolate chips. 6. Line a 8x8 pan with parchment paper and dump your mixture into your pan. 7. Cover your mixture with plastic wrap and firmly press down, smoothing out the top. 8. Place your pan in the freezer for 10 minutes to firm up. 8. Cut into bars and enjoy immediately or wrap individually in plastic for a great snack on the go!
