Caramel Corn
Hi kids! It’s Jean! I have a confession; I am a POPCORN MONSTER. I could eat popcorn everyday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! I love it so much. I am also very corny. haha. The
next time you are having a movie night with your family, try making this ultra sticky and delicious caramel corn! Caramel making is a hot business, so definitely ask a grown-up to help you with the stove and oven!

Stuff you’ll need:
candy thermometer
Pot
Baking sheet
Spatulas
Measuring cups and spoons
Bowls
Sense of humour
10 cups of air-popped popcorn
1 cup of salted peanuts
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Attach your candy thermometer to the side of a heavy-bottomed pot.
Into your pot, add the brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, salt, and baking soda.
Bring the pot to the stove and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring often.
Once your caramel has reached 250 degrees on your candy thermometer, carefully remove the pot from the stove.
Add your peanuts to your popcorn.
Slowly pour your caramel over your popcorn and peanuts.
Stir until all of the popcorn is covered with caramel.
Pour caramel corn onto a baking sheet.
Using a spatula, spread caramel corn into a nice even layer.
Bake for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Let cool completely before DEVOURING!!
